We each hold a different version of grandma in our hearts. One that we hold onto tightly, that was the gift that she gave to us. Our own special memories that no one else shares and death can not take away.

Please join in celebrating Grandma Pleau's life by sharing stories pictures, thoughts and memories, regrets and accomplishments.
The 4th of July

In those days the fourth was celebrated with pop bottle rockets, fire crackers and so much more. Cheese burgers Bar-b-q'd on the grill and a wheel barrel filed with all the pop one could drink. Macaroni salad, Pork -n - beans, watermelon and so much more. We'd sit on the roof of the house and watch the fireworks display from all over the city. Also, an above ground pool with a slide for all to enjoy.

Angie Evalue McClendon, Age 8 months & 19 days old. Feb 19, 1931

Birthdays were always made special and celebrated with the family. No one was ever forgotten. In the background are two of her grandchildren Little Roger and Kelli with her friend.

Though the years have come and gone and you are with the Lord you're still and always will be the mother, grandmother and great grandmother of the generations who follow after you.
Do Not Lose Heart
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
- 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

I love my Dad

Granpa Pleau and his daughter Lorraine; Grandpa stood along side me as we dedicated the soul of Grandma pleau and granddaughter Kelli to our lord.
Grandpa Pleau taught me to drive, Floyd and Mary Ann took me to get my test. I past too. phew!!!
Because you bring a child into this world does not make you a father. It is all the love and support that child receives and Grandpa Pleau was there when I needed him the most. Like the neighbor who got angry because of a dog we had. Grandpa Pleau rushed across the street and that neighbor changed his tone in a hurry when it was man on man instead of man on woman. Grandpa Pleau told the guy if you want to take someone on I'm right here, the guy backed down and never said another word to me. Never forgot that dad. Thank you so very much. In Feb of 2010 dad married and lovely lady now named Dee Pleau.

Grandma Pleau's favorite religious symbol was the praying hands. She had the praying hands made of what looked to be of white marble in her home for many years.
Crocheting Coming soon

I tried several times to make her Peach Cobbler but to date I have failed. Grandma didn't use a recipe she just put some of this and that in a bowl and mixed it and poured it in a pan, baked it. How I loved the peach jam that we would spread over toast. I could eat it right out of the jar. Grandma would travel to the Western slop and bring back the juicest peaches...Mmm! My mouth waters for it all even now.
One of her favorite songs and Artist was Nat King Cole
Ramblin' Rose

-artist: nat king cole -peak billboard position # 2 in 1962 -words and music by noel sherman and joe sherman
Ramblin’ rose, ramblin’ rose Why you ramble, no one knows Wild and wind-blown, that’s how you’ve grown Who can cling to a ramblin’ rose?
Ramble on, ramble on When your ramblin’ days are gone Who will love you with a love true When your ramblin’ days are through?
Ramblin’ rose, ramblin’ rose Why I want you, heaven knows Though I love you with a love true Who can cling to a ramblin’ rose?
Spoken <one more time, everybody, now>
Ramblin’ rose, ramblin’ rose Why I want you, heaven knows Though I love you with a love true Who can cling to a ramblin’ rose?
